I teach my college journalism students how to produce NPR styled newscast.  They must keep up with current events and develop enterprise stories.  They are required to use their smartphones to capture audio, video and photos.  This newscast was produced for KTSU, 90.9 FM, Houston, Texas.

Juneteenth Holiday in Texas

Juneteenth is a holiday that is celebrated in Texas. It commemorates the day when slaves in Texas were freed on  June 19, 1865, two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation.
